Suraj played by Abhishek Bachchan is a hard working and idealist student who has come to Mumbai to earn his college degree. In college he starts loving Rani Mukherjee who plays role of Pooja. He gets scholarship and gets a chance to work for his ideal Jackie Shroff. One day he realizes that Shroff has been using him in power game.
