Attack of the Crab Monsters

uraniumcafe-the.com Attack of the Crab Monsters From www.IMDB.com Dazzling!, 22 January 2004 9 Author: Eileen McHenry from Matango Island West This is one of Corman’s finest, a standout in the venerable killer-crab genre. A science team dispatched to a Pacific island to study the effects of atomic radiation disappears. A second team arrives to find out where they got to, and they discover that nearly all the wildlife on the island is gone, except for the land crabs, and they soon find out that the island itself is starting to disappear beneath the waves. Then the investigative team itself starts to disappear as well. Terrific monster FX. The killer crabs are wonderful, and one of them even speaks in a French accent! Great corny 50s script, and this is also a rare opportunity to see Russell Johnson in a non-‘Gilligan’s Island’ role. Stands up to repeat viewings, unlike so many 50s horror films. One of the Best Grade Z Movies Ever, 25 May 2004 10/10 Author: dbborroughs from Glen Cove, New York Yes, I gave the film 10 out of 10. I’m not proud. Where this movie is concerned I have no shame. I loved this movie from the moment I saw it on New York’s Creature Features way back in the late 1960’s as a five year old. At five this movie scared the crap out of me, now its just cheaply done fun. How can anyone who reads the title or the plot, about a research team on a lonely island being stalked by giant crabs that eat the brains of their victims and then can then talk like them
