ok, i’m desperate. i have 3 computers, one windows XP, one vista, and one 7.
the XP is a compaq presario desktop bundle, 1.8ghz processor and mirage 2 graphics, with 2 gigs of ram and plenty of hard drive space.
the vista machine is an acer aspire one netbook with a 1.3ghz processor, 2 gb or RAM and a gma 500, also plenty of disc space.
the new one, windows 7 64 bit, is an HP pavilion slimline with an intel core 2 quad processor, nvidia geforce something graphics card, and 6 gigs of ram. basically it’s more than powerful enough to edit video.
the problem i’m having is that i just can’t seem to find a video editor for any of them! windows movie maker XP crashes every 5 minutes, and is just completely unusable. i absolutely love the vista movie maker, but the netbook does not run it well at all. the HP used to have vista, and i could edit videos no problem, but it was only after upgrading to windows 7 that i realized that there is no more windows movie maker, and windows live movie maker just plain sucks, and is completely unusable for my type of video editing.
i have tried everything i could fine. i had the unlimited version of AVS (which i paid $ 70 for) which had a video editor, but one day i tried it and it said that it was expired. i sent them a message and they said that i tried installing it on multiple computers. this was before i even got the netbook or the slimline, so i only had one computer. i sent them a message about that and they have never replied.
i don’t want to go into a big deal with them, as it would be quite difficult and expensive, so i just need a video editor that works. i’ve tried super DVD and many others, none of which either work or are just not very usable with their interfaces. i looked up how to get vista movie maker to windows 7, and i tried it to no avail, i can’t import anything to the editor.
as of now, i’m completely stuck. i need something at least similar to windows vista movie maker, preferably HD because i have an HD camera. nothing seems to be working, and i have tons of videos i need to edit. it’s not for business use, it’s just for fun youtube stuff, like in my youtube channel ( http://www.youtube.com/supersnot4 ). it’s a huge hobby of mine to make music videos and edit random stuff together. any help would be VERY much appreciated! thanks guys!
