Apps for removing vocals?

My friend and I want to make a home movie and we want to put music to it but we don’t know how to write/play our own music so we thought we could just use songs we know and remove the vocals from them. I don’t want to download fancy software to my computer and I don’t have any money to buy software that is safe for my computer. Are there any free apps for my iPod touch (other than vocalzap, that one wasn’t what I was looking for) that will work for me? By the way this movie is for our use only so we won’t be using the music for anything but personal use.

No app or program can remove vocals from a song. Doing that requires you to have access to the master tracks. There are free programs for the computer which can attempt to quiet the vocals, but it’s impossible to remove them completely. The best thing for you to do would be to look for songs which are listed as instrumental.
