An Anti-Piracy System?

Question by : An Anti-Piracy System?
i’m developing an Anti-Piracy System that removes digital pirated content such as movies, games, software, books and magazines, etc from the internet.

i would like different companies ( such as: Microsoft, adobe, apple, universal etc.) to use my service in order to remove most of their products on the internet.

companies that would like their products removed from the internet will have to pay a monthly subscription depending on their product which is a fraction of the amount they loose.

This makes it a lot harder for people to download their products illegally, therefore, will be forced to purchase. (This eventually increases sales and of course, PROFIT)

how can i contact companies to see if they are interested so that u would further develop this system?

And i would like to know your opinion of:

– is this project going to be successful?
– will companies like adobe and Microsoft use my service?
– would you use this service if you had a product which was being pirated (downloaded illegally) on the internet?
and any other suggestions/comments you can add!

thank you

I know Adobe will be glad to hear this, as most of their products are software and are extremely well-designed and frequently updated (have really good support).

Microsoft may not be as interested, as they also deal in electronics, which consists of a large portion of their products. They also may a lot of software that requires online activation (i.e. multiplayer games, providing online services) that cannot be provided via illegal copy.

However, you may need to show your invention’s success and prove that it works, as there have been many attempts at removing content over the internet and most of them have been nothing short of failure. First of all, you will have to face the hurdle that you cannot just “remove” content over the internet, because the websites you target may be based in different countries, and hence have different views/laws on filesharing. In addition, removing one server won’t make that much difference, as the illegal content is shared over a large network, so you will only redistribute the content over another area. An effective way to prevent pirated work from spreading may be to obfuscate the materials (that is, somehow hide a website that distributes it, but this is against 1st amendment rights, so that may be a problem).
