The movie Akeli Mat Jaiyo shows Meena Kumari as a favorite girl of her hostel warden. She lies to her warden to save her friend and meets with Prince Rajendra Kumar who is dressed as a colonel. They spend 72 hours together because she can not return to hostel. both fall in love but a press reporter takes their picture and publishes it in newspaper.
