The new movie ‘The Social Network’ is about the founding of the website Facebook and it’s founder Mark Zuckerberg.
So, I was just curious, do the filmmakers have to obtain his permission before being allowed to make a movie about his life? Or, does American law allow people to make movies about others without needing their consent?

If a person is a “Public figure”, which includes all politicians, celebrities, and heads of major companies, they are totally fair game for journalists and documentarians.
